How to Building HubSpot Chat Flows To Engage Differently

Sales Enablement Consultant I get to do some pretty cool things as relates to helping

 my customers communicate better with their customers at different touch points so I'm going to show you a little example now


 as to how I am testing and building out a chat flow and what a chat flow actually looks like that's going to be on a customer's website so that when someone is engaging with them the chatbot is going to kind of guide and qualify before that is passed into the actual sales lead check this out so first and foremost the platform that we're going to be using is HubSpot and within recent time HubSpot actually made some 











  • adjustments to their Bots because before you would have only been able to do 

  • certain things like if then branches um in the professional version but now it's 

  • actually available in the starter version so in the starter version we get the ability of doing um of creating a ticket creation and 

  • Lead qualification and then of course you can do things like generate meetings and this is the starter version so there's one of

  • the lowest versions they get the ability to do this with when somebody comes on your website if it isn't you have a website that's 

  • very engaging or you want to be happy you want to have a website that's very engaging you could actually now build out a chat bot that could kind of ask the right questions 

  • qualify the person the right way and not even just try to get them into your CRM or just try to get somebody's email but actually

  •  direct them to different areas on the site the kindness to start building some sort of trust and guidance so that they get a better familiarize themselves with the site so let's 


  • take a look at what that looks like now so on the back end of HubSpot I can go to conversations and from conversations I will go to chat fluids when I go to chat flows I 

  • will now be on the back end of a chat floor what this chat flu looks like is that when somebody hits the site what's going to 

  • happen is that it's going to actually ask them particular things right so I have a number of if then branches that the the site is going to be following through so 

  • everything that you're actually seeing here and let's say for instance this person said that they just want to understand they're

  •  just looking for sales information if it is that they click on that what happens that the conversation goes a little bit further

 into different things if the person says that they are looking for stuff along the lines of 


prospecting what's going to happen here is that is going to is going to point them in the direction of something that relates the perspective from off of my website now again the chatbot is doing this not an individual now why is this important this is important because you get to save time so someone doesn't have to sit down looking for a conversation that comes in or stop from what they're doing to switch across to do a to do a conversation so let's do a little example as to how what does that look like if it's live so right from the back end of HubSpot if I come across here and I say check preview let's take a look at what the previous so somebody comes onto the site it's gonna say you know it's going to ask 





them hey what is it that you're interested in and they can choose a number of different things so let's say the person says uh just looking for some sales information cool what's then going to happen is that the chatbot is going to ask them all right cool so what's your rule all right so you're looking for sales information what's your role in sales and this person is going to say maybe I'm a sales professional all right cool so after that Noah's gonna say well uh cool what type of sales content are you looking for prospecting your leadership general sales and full marketing Etc so I'm gonna say hmm let me get sales leadership so when I click on sales leadership it's going to now pop up and you're going to say good yep sales leadership is a big topic right here are some articles on this topic I know the 

person with a click here it will then take them to a page that deals with what sales 


leadership and all of the respective blog articles are there now again why is this important because you want to create one of the things when you have visitors coming to your site is that you want to 

make sure that your site is interact not every single time somebody visits your site they want to leave an email so you should just be asking them for an email every single time you should have some content there that they can now interact with and you can build trust and sometimes maybe later on when they are when they are 


revisiting your site then you can ask them for information about excuse me whether


they would like to leave an email or not so that now you can now convert them into an actual lead and you get the ability to watch their history based upon the things that they've done from before so that's just a way that we can use HubSpot to interact and engage with this particular touch point with customers and those are one of the things that I like to help customers build and map out within their sales and marketing processes
