- Machines solve different problems for example a computer
- A computer demonstrates a form of intelligence then it learns how to improve itself at solving these problems
- When Artificial Intelligence improved then we came towards the creation of new terms
- which is Machine learning,deep learning, predictive analytics, & now prescriptive analytics
- Which gave rise to a whole new field of study something we call Data Science
How did the A.I term originate How did all begin
The proposal of 1955 by John McCarthy changed everything in the field of A.I
- The idea, definition, and term of Artificial Intelligence was first used by John McCarthy in 1955 at the Dartmouth conference
- Many others also worked in this field
Of course in the beginning
- For example Alan Turing but it was before 1955 when A.I was an undefined field
- John McCarthy said in his proposal "
Every aspect of learning of any other feature of intelligence
- can in principle be so precisely described that a machine can be made to stimulate it
- Which means that machines will be able to copy it
- Moreover he said, an attempt will be made to find how to make machines use language from abstractions
- Means by showing objects to he machine, it will learn everything
- He said, that is how a machine will solve kinds of problems now reserved for humans
- In the proposal of 1955, they defined 7 things
Today there are more than that but the original ones are these seven
The first was that they will stimulate the higher functions in the human brain
The second was that to program the computers in such a way so that they use general language
Third was to arrange hypothetical neurons in such sequence that they will be able to form concepts
Fourth was to find a problem and be able to measure its complexity
Like how complex a certain problem is
Fifth was self-improvement so that A.I improve itself with time
Sixth was that abstract is defined as the quality of dealing with ideas rather than events
Seventh was Randomness and creativity
Till now we've completed the language measure problem complexity and self-improvement to at least some degree
But randomness and creativity are yet to be explored
We use A.I in different fields & industries For example for manual tasks
Through A.I we are making such robots that will do boring, repetitive tasks which are normally done by humans
A.I help different organizations as well in order to better understand their employees
what they care about and value
Through A.I online shopping is possible now, we can order almost everything
And when it comes to entertainment so everything changed just because of social media
Which I don't need to explain because it is in front of all of us
For example, the sort of content you will like will pop up on social sites
That is where the A.I comes
The A.I software is connected to the sensors in the self-driving cars and connect all the data
in self-driving cars, deep learning is used
And the control actions in the control system are used for decision making of course
Moreover, A.I was sued in covid-19 as well for thermal imaging on airports airports and in medicines too
Now you can imagine what a world would look like if we take away A.I
